Seatech was involved in the salvage operation of the car carrier Hoegh Osaka in The Solent, UK. The vessel, carrying over 1,400 vehicles including Land Rovers, Minis, and Jaguars, ran aground on Bramble Bank. Seatech responded to an emergency call to assist in the refloating efforts.
They collaborated with Svitzer Salvage, providing diver assistance, rope access teams, support vessels, and fabricators. The operation to stabilize and right the vessel spanned 19 days, culminating with the vessel being towed to Southampton Port for cargo offloading and thorough inspections. This project showcased Seatech’s expertise and responsiveness in managing complex maritime salvage operations.
