The client requested Seatech to carry out works to de-clutched sections of sheet pile wall as part of the development of a premier offshore wind hub at the forefront of the offshore wind sector.
The works involved 12 weeks of underwater operations, simultaneously conducted with rock armour deployments and a fender installation programme.
The task required extensive underwater concreting and welding operations, comprising the fabrication and installation of steel underwater shutters of up to 10m in height at a depth of 20m to repair defects.
Seatech Commercial Diving’s were able to generate and maintain 3 x 5-man HSE dive teams for the duration of the task, at short notice, optimising teams and shifts to maximise production. This in turn allowed the project defect programme to be significantly reduced which in turn de-risked the required completion date and enabled further works which were dependent on the completion of this operation to start earlier.
